Samuel Papa Arthur is a Ph.D. student at Washington University in St. Louis, where he reads English and American Literature, and is a member of the A&S Public Scholarship Cohort 25. He is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast and Iowa State University, where he had his B.Ed. and M.A. in English studies.   Samuel’s work has appeared recently in Brill’s  Matatu,  Asemkaand he has a forthcoming essay in African Identities; his poetry has featured in Kente Shot Glass and Kalahari Review.  Samuel’s research focuses on postcolonial literary imagination, black studies, critical/literary theory, and pop/internet culture. His current project focuses on spectacle creation in the Ghanaian media space, particularly on X.
