Cristina Correa, a second-year PhD student in the Department of Comparative Literature and Thought, has been selected as a Fellow in the 2025 Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop, and online, intensive summer training program for aspiring publishing professionals with an emphasis on diverse and innovative publishing opportunities.

During the workshop from June 23 to July 25, Correa will learn the foundations of book, magazine, and online editing and production, digital and print publishing, and the financial and business aspects of the industry through lectures, seminars, and practical instruction. She will also have the opportunity to participate in skills-based workshops with editors, art directors, web designers, marketing professionals. The Publishing Workshop is a competitive opportunity, and this year LARB received a record-breaking number of applicants.

Correa’s fellowship is sponsored by the Office of Public Scholarship, where she has been completing a Mentored Professional Experience throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.
