Substack has become one of the most direct ways for scholars to reach readers beyond the academy and build a consistent, thoughtful audience.
In this workshop, the Office of Public Scholarship will walk you through the basics of building a public scholarship presence on the platform: setting up your publication, finding your voice and rhythm as a writer, thinking through what makes content compelling, and growing a community of readers who care about your work. No prior experience with newsletters or social media is needed.
