Curious about how AI can help you reach general audiences? Join the Office of Public Scholarship and guest scholar Mark Yakich for “AI Tips and Tactics for Public Scholarship,” a hands-on workshop offered as part of WashU’s AI Perspectives week.
Mark Yakich is a poet, novelist, editor, and the Gregory F. Curtin, S.J., Distinguished Professor of English at Loyola University New Orleans.
This workshop invites you to experiment with AI as a writing tool, focusing on where it can be most useful for engaging general audiences with your research or creative work. You’ll leave with concrete workflows and prompts ready to put to use in your own projects.
Please bring an unpublished writing sample to experiment with — 500 to 1,000 words, any genre (article, grant narrative, job application, essay, abstract, program report, press release, letter of recommendation, etc.).
These sessions are only open to current WashU faculty and grad students.
- We’re offering two identical sessions—Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23
- Each capped at 12 participants, with lunch provided.
